About Us
"Several years ago, after many shopping trips ending in frustration, I began creating my own patterns. My experimenting turned to excitement as I saw the possibilty of meeting a need for modest, yet fashionable clothing. After numerous requests for the patterns, what started as a hobby blossomed into something more, and Fashionably Modest Patterns began in the fall of 2005. Several more patterns have been added since that time, as well as sewing e-booklets. It is my desire that these patterns would be an encouragement and blessing to those searching for modest, fashionable clothes in order to represent the King of kings!"

Gretchen is a child of God, a homeschool graduate, and a sister to six siblings. In August 2009, she married her beloved Joe and is happily living her dream of being a wife to her long-time sweetheart and best friend. She enjoys capturing life with her camera, making melodies on the piano, bargain shopping with coupons, and laughing with her husband.
